When rancher Dale Kenyon (Dale Evans) tires of her workers not getting anything done because they're flirting with her rambunctious younger sister, Betty Lou (Jean Porter), she fires them all and replaces them with women -- but Betty Lou schemes to get the men back. Cowboy Roy Rogers is caught up in her plan, which involves the men pretending to steal the ranch's horses. When two of the hands commit a real robbery, Roy intervenes.

Rogell (In Old Oklahoma, The Black Cat) directs this fanciful musical about an aging composer named Rick Farrell (John Carroll), who steals the tunes of young and hopeful musician Jill Wright (Susan Hayward). But Jill isn't going to let him get away with that so easily. Watch for enlivening performances by Dorothy Dandridge and Pops and Louie, among others. The song "Change of Heart" was nominated for an Oscar in 1944.
