After his selfish, ever-golfing father, Ron (Tom Arnold), suffers a stroke, New Yorker Chris Rockett (Jimmy Fallon) comes to his side and confronts his rocky past, which includes growing up with his unconventional, eccentric mother, Jane (Sharon Stone). Meanwhile, Chris's girlfriend, Anne (Lucy Liu), is ready to get hitched, but he's definitely not. This Patrick Sisam-helmed dramedy is based on a short story by acclaimed writer Ethan Canin.

That mission is interrupted, however, when Arn impregnates his lover and is sent to the Holy Land, where as penance he must become a warrior for Christ in the battles of the Crusades.
